Going outside seems simple right? Just as telling you about this book should also be simple, but it’s not, I barely know where to start. It had me on edge the whole time, I was confused and even frustrated, the solutions seemed so simple but they weren’t. My heart ached, I wanted Ele to be safe, to be free, to understand what the Outside is.
Jeff Kinney you have done it again, The Meltdown is bound to be a Wimpy Kid fan favourite and had me engrossed from beginning to end. Greg Heffley kept me entertained and had me hooked from the beginning, when his imagination runs wild – thinking about his own talking toilet, unfrozen cavemen and cyborg legs so he can sleep on his way to school.
This book is about the ancient art of storytelling and centers around Mina and her rare powers. You will be taken on a journey of bravery, tragedy, dreams becoming reality, integrity and a little romance.

Missing is one that wouldn’t let me put it down. Sue’s book is engrossing, raw and emotional, especially when you think you know how it is going to end and it isn’t how you thought it would be.
This book is gripping, confronting, overwhelming, engaging and perfect for teens and young adults.
The main reason why I am looking forward to attending this festival, is that it brings people together from across Australia who have a love for the creative arts, to celebrate books, writing, reading, poetry, illustrations and all of their creators.
