Who would have thought that the Easter Bunny would get his knickers in a knot and be so jealous of Santa Clause? I know, I was surprised too, I have always thought of them as being the cheeriest best of friends, living in harmony, and enjoying the celebrations of each other’s jobs.

There was an amazing amount of laughter especially when catfish says “Just look what you’ve done…I’m meant to have whiskers and now I have none.” The group was concerned about the bubbling stew, were fascinated by the pirates and laughed hard when there was a bubble soaked pirate ship.
The newest two books in the Alphaprints range – Happy Dog & Quirky Bird are a wonderful addition to these touch-and-feel textured prints and fingerprint embossed pictures. These highly creative books are humorous, with pictures that are different to your average hardback book.
One of the first things I thought about when reading this book is that my mum is going to be horrified when she reads my review, she hates the F word…the Fart word…it is one of her least favourite words. But then I realised she also has a sense of humor and she might overlook her least favourite words…maybe.
If you haven’t chosen a book for your chapter book readers stocking yet then I suggest grabbing a copy of Terry Denton’s Wombat & Fox: The Whole Story. There will be lots of laughter and mayhem, and your young reader will not want to put it down (I know I didn’t want to).
