There are some people that you come across in life that are pretty special. There is something about their warmth and love for others, and their passion for their craft that comes out in their books. Serena Geddes is one such person and you can see her kindness, zest for life and love for others come out in her first author/illustrated book Rosie and Rasmus.

India Wimple could spell. Brilliantly. So brilliantly...she is endearing and considering, kind and always putting others before herself. She is also known to be able to chase a mystery...especially at the International Spelling Bee in London.

Ben Faulks has captured my imagination and got me to run with it to discover who I am, just as the boy in the book does.  The boy goes on a journey of self discovery and awareness that is portrayed in a way to make you laugh and be at ease with differences. 

Code 7 Review and Interview

Code 7 had me guessing from the very beginning, as I read each story I was trying to work out just what each code was. When I got to the end of the book and realised what the concept of Code 7 was, it made me love the book so much.

A little Story Time Goodness

The art activity is such a big part of the literacy experience. It shouldn't be just an add on at the end of a story time. I find it most successful when there is lots of discussion while creating and then the stories the children share with me about their creation.
