Choose Your Own Adventure

I remember the demand for these books in the library at school, they were always on hold and very nearly never actually on the shelf.  One thing I did know is that I loved them, I read them whenever I got a chance..I don’t remember them being scary though like this one looks, I didn’t like reading scary books.

The good thing is that if you read these more than once then you can choose the different options the second time and get a totally different ending.  I would read the same book multiple times.

For those of you that have never read a choose your own adventure book the process is simple and so much fun.  Each page directs  you to another page, some pages get you to choose between two options and depending on which option you choose depends on how quickly you get to the end.  This particular book has 14 different endings.

What I love about these books are that they are popular again, it is always wonderful to see books that I read as a child being enjoyed by a new generation of children.  Books are timeless and take us into the wonderful world of the imagination of the author.  If you get a chance, pick up a choose your adventure book at the library or bookstore and relive your childhood.
