I eagerly awaited publication day to take this book to a baby storytime to read so that I could see if the babies, mammas and dads enjoyed this book as much as I did. The response was delightful, the babies were in awe and more engaged than I could imagine. The parents had big awes at the end and I knew this book was a hit.

This book is special and so delightful because it celebrates babies turning 1. It is encouraging because it celebrates babies being one of a kind, simply divine and one in a million.
Although it has more words than I would normally read to a large group of babies, it was so engaging that it didn’t matter.
A lot of the words are familiar to babies, such as tummies and tickling, head and shaking, nose and dog. I love that there are more in the series, celebrating when your baby turns one, two, three, four and five. Collecting all five would make a lovely collection and keepsake for your child.
With each turn of the page the colours used in the illustrations are gentle with the odd pop of colour, generally in red. I would definitely recommend this book and the others in the series.
My most favourite part of the book are the last two pages and this is because the words are so beautiful and full of love…“So don’t rush to turn two. Take your time being one, and enjoy being you.”
