Initially when I opened this book to read it I was expecting the story to be full of fashion diva’s, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story is about so much more, its all about friendship, loyalty, family, winning at all costs and the very talented Mickey.

I have never watched a fashion show or been cat walk show, so it was interesting to read about Assignment: Fashion, where the motto of the show was ‘One day you’re hot, the next day you’re not’. So with a statement like that you are probably wondering why I would recommend this book, especially to a tween. Well apart from a couple of diva moments overall the characters are well rounded, considerate of others feelings and want truth and respect to be center of their lives.

For the young men that wish to read this book it is not just about the girls. There is a wonderful character called JC who has a very spoilt dog called Madonna. JC does lose his way a couple of times but his ultimate loyalty is to his BFF Mickey, where friendship is more important the winning.

When I got to the end of the book I was pleasantly surprised to learn the the authors are a mother and daughter,  Sheryl Berk and her daughter Carrie Berk who is only about 13 years old. I think reading a book with an author of this age is very encouraging to other young ladies and men and it teaches them that they can also achieve things if they put their mind to it. This is one of the reasons I encourage tween’s to read her books.

If you like reading about fashion, friendship and a few divaish moments then get a copy of Fashion Face-Off which is the last in a series of 5 books.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read and honestly review this book.
