The book flows well and has been well crafted by Meredith Costain. Olivia is endearing but with a little mischievousness on the side which adds depth to the character. Her inquisitive nature is what makes her such a fun and likable character.
Congratulations to all those that have made it to the notables list , I am super proud of the quality of Australian literature, the children of Australia are so blessed to have such good quality books at their fingertips, and for those children that don’t let’s make it possible.

Smile is exactly what I did when I finished reading this book, because I knew that this was truly an accessible title and I found the story to be an insight into Mona Lisa and the possibilities of her life.
This is my first encounter with Friday Barnes and if this book is anything to to go by, Friday is always disappearing, investigating and getting into all sorts of scrapes that challenge the patience of her teachers and the headmasters, both old and new.
