Joey Chou's Make & Play Farm is unique and creative, packed with many opportunities for imaginative play and storytelling. This book is enormous fun, and emphasises that books are full of possibilities.
Marvellous Mummy
Marvellous Mummy is a beautiful book to celebrate the relationship between a child and their mummy at anytime of the year. It is a fun little book that celebrates all the different traits of a mum, including those times when she is grumpy, and mothers day is the perfect day to read it.
These Are Animals
These are animals is one of the most fun books I have read to a group of children in a while. It was great to see the children love the book as much as I did, which is why it is now one of my favourite go to books for Storytime sessions.
Alfred’s War
Alfred's War is a moving tribute to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Veterans, and the sacrifices they made as they served our country. This poignant story opens the readers hearts to the Indigenous Australians contribution to the war, and the lack of support and discrimination they were subject to on their return home.
The Last Peach
This book is written fully in dialogue and has mixed media artwork as the illustrations, both add a unique flavour to the book that makes it something special.
Kate and the Thing
Heidi Cooper Smith made me want to smile, cry, laugh and tap into every emotion possible when reading this story. She has beautifully captured a child's feelings about new situations and the illustrations are just WOW!
The Detective Dog
Detective dog is on a mission to find the missing books from school. Another outstanding book by the talented Julia Donaldson
The Walkabout Orchestra
When this gem arrived in the mail I was rather excited, I have always been a fan of the Where's Wally type of books and this one sure didn't disappoint. The Walkabout Orchestra Postcards from around the World, is a beautiful book.
Yoga Babies
Yoga Babies by Fearne Cotton introduces children and parents to the calming nature of Yoga through a picture book story.
CBCA Night of the Notables
Congratulations to all those that have made it to the notables list , I am super proud of the quality of Australian literature, the children of Australia are so blessed to have such good quality books at their fingertips, and for those children that don't let's make it possible.
