It is really heartwarming to see the world come together and share their time, resources and skills so that children's anxiety is lessened
Adventure, Loss and Believing in Oneself!
Three quick reviews, each with a common theme - Family. Each is different but all care and love one another.
There’s a Baddie Running Through This Book
Brilliance! Shelly Unwin has again delighted the reader with her ability to bring books alive, creating an atmosphere of fun and waggishness. There’s a Baddie Running Through This Book is her best yet and I am not only excited about this book but for what she will delight us with in the future.
Not So Scary Bear
Ruth Waters book is fun, celebrates difference, and the importance of being true to yourself. This well paced adventure saw me instantly charmed by bear; I love that he wears patterned woolen jumpers and behaves the opposite of what is expected of a bear.
There’s a Dragon in Your Book
Thank you Tom Fletcher and Greg Abbott for sharing your creativity and imagination so that another book inspires children and adults to read. This book is interactive, well illustrated and just the best for Storytime sessions.
Sleep Tight Very Hungry Caterpillar
'Shhh...everyone is fast asleep on the farm.' 'Who can you see cuddled up in the barn?' The language is simple and tells a beautiful story about the hungry caterpillar heading to his bed upon some leaves, while saying goodnight to his friends along the way.
These Are Animals
These are animals is one of the most fun books I have read to a group of children in a while. It was great to see the children love the book as much as I did, which is why it is now one of my favourite go to books for Storytime sessions.
The Last Peach
This book is written fully in dialogue and has mixed media artwork as the illustrations, both add a unique flavour to the book that makes it something special.
4 Must Have Board Books
I am always on the lookout for board books that I can use for Baby and Toddler Storytime sessions at the Library or to give as gifts. These are just 4 of many books that I think have something special about them and want to share with you.
Push! Dig! Scoop!
From early morning until it's time for bed, mama and papa are teaching their little trucks how to dig, scoop, and push at the construction site. This tough and burly crew scoop up dirt, dump it, lay BIG steel beams, mix the cement and roll it flat; at the end of the day they give a TOOT TOOT to celebrate their hard work.
