There is something quite spectacular about this book, and just by looking at the cover you do not realise just how compelling it is until you open the pages and are presented with striking photos of animals. The words I have seem inadequate to describe the stunning photography.
Art, Play and Reading are the perfect opportunities for children to learn and extend their developmental and literacy skills, and stimulating their imagination and curiosity, while helping with brain development. All this is important to me which is why over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing with you an art kit from the Smarty Arty store about Aussie Animals and my pick of books to go with it.
It was my first time reading a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, I was so engrossed I read it within an hour. When I closed the book I declared that Jeff Kinney is the first person to get me to enjoy disastrous comedy, he is the Master of Disaster with a whole lot of laughter thrown in. Truth be told I normally avoid books where things go wrong all the time, however The Getaway was so funny, engaging and disaster filled that I couldn’t help but love it.
This book is “…NOT – an iPad! It’s not linked. It’s not synched… It’s so BORING!…” Oh actually wait – I just have to interrupt and say that it is FAR from BORING! It’s actually a whole lot of FUN!
This book is a beautiful and interesting extravaganza of folktales and legends that celebrate animals and culture, some that will be familiar to you and some that won’t. These stories are brought to life as we travel the globe to Africa, Asia, North and South America, Europe, Australia and Oceania.
