My Favourite Nursery Rhymes A Dean’s Happy Times Book While it isn’t as old as books you find in a library archives, it is old to me. It smells musty,…
Georgie was not exactly what you call clean…his mum had finally had enough and let him go. I remember finding the book very funny with the other people looking disgusted at Georgie and covering their children’s eyes, the many many dogs following him down the street and the flowers wilting as he sat next to them.
“Hey there! Hoop-la! the circus is in town! Have you seen…” I remember loving this poem in the book, it is titled The Circus.
“Once in a country called Nowehere, I heard a strange sort of call, I looked and I looked for something, but there was nothing at all.” or so it seems. Even though I knew what happened next I was always excited to turn the page where I discovered more Things!
What I love about these books are that they are popular again, it is always wonderful to see books that I read as a child being enjoyed by a new generation of children.
I decided to share this today because it is one that mattered to me. There are books that come and go, there are books that stay with you and this is one of them.
“The cat from Norway gets stuck in the doorway…but my cat likes to hide in boxes”
