I love this book, and was very excited to read this to one of my baby storytime groups just recently where it was well received by all.  In fact, the babies were so attentive to the book and I had never seen anything like it before for such an age group.

This board book is perfect for a multitude of ages, not just babies.  The book encourages colour recognition and learning.

The colours are familiar to children, focusing on colours such as red, green, yellow and blue, and rainbow ice-cream.

The pictures include children, frogs, sunshine and swimming, a kitty cat, flowers and ice-cream which are familiar to children. There is versatility in a book like this because you can make frog and kitten noises with the children, you can talk about their favourite ice-cream flavours, about their favourite colours, and if they were a monster what would they be?

I highly recommend grabbing a copy of this for your young reader, or the next time you gift a new baby a book. It is bound to be a long lasting, treasured item.

Thank you to Penguin Random House for the opportunity to read and review this book.
