If I am to be honest I know nothing about Bluey & Bingo….yep, you heard right, nothing at all apart from the fact that they won two ABIA awards recently, well their creator did. So needless to say I was feeling really blessed when these arrived in the mail and I got introduced to whom I now know as being a pretty popular and inexhaustible Blue Heeler dog and her sister.

These two books introduce us to both Bluey and Bingo, and as soon as I read the first line I got the sense that Bluey is one busy Blue Heeler; bounding out of bed, playing games with her sister Bingo, wrestling with dad, hugs from mum and going on amazing adventures.
I like that these books give you a good introduction to the characters and creates a great opportunity for conversation with your little one about whether they like to do the things that Bluey likes to do too.

I do not usually engage with books that are based on TV characters, I generally like the uniqueness you get from other types of board and picture books, however, Bluey & Bingo are endearing and I understand how they have easily won the hearts of many Australian children.
I appreciate that these books are in the sturdy form of board books as I am sure these will become well loved and read books.
