The newest two books in the Alphaprints range – Happy Dog & Quirky Bird are a wonderful addition to these touch-and-feel textured prints and fingerprint embossed pictures. These highly creative books are humorous, with pictures that are different to your average hardback book.
Some books are little treasures, and this is one of those where I felt transported back to when I was a child. I felt familiar with the story and felt comfortable that the content is safe for an 8 year old to read. There are a lot of books about magic, goblins and elves for young children, but in my role as a Librarian parents often ask me for books that don’t have those components. For those types of requests this book is a perfect fit.
I find great value in stories like Antoinette because to a child it is simply a story about a dog, her family, her friends, discovering abilities and one missing friend Ooh-La-La!
Top Dogs fun to read but is full of wonderful facts and information that could be used for school projects. I was surprised at just how little I knew about dogs in history so I hope that the content is also full of surprises for you!
“Grover’s tummy had been rumbling all day. He couldn’t remember when he’d last had a meal. He wished the Man with Big Boots fed him more often. Doesn’t he know that dogs need to eat everyday? Grover thought, as he scrunched his wet body small and tight to try to stay warm. It didn’t work. He was still cold.”
The book is full of fun facts, solid information on the dogs appearance, personality, and training notes
