I believe this is a must have book for all Australians to read, not just because the royalties go to charity, but because it shows that our young people are thinking of the future, are overcoming the odds to advocate for positive social change.

Shout Out to the Girls
Shout Out to the Girls is my definite pick of the month for a must have book, especially for Australian children and teens. With all the royalties going to The Smith Family charity you not only get to read the book but help those in need. Congratulations to the various Penguin Random House women that put this together, I thank you for opening my mind to possibilities.

Friday Barnes Never Fear
This is my first encounter with Friday Barnes and if this book is anything to to go by, Friday is always disappearing, investigating and getting into all sorts of scrapes that challenge the patience of her teachers and the headmasters, both old and new.

Fashion Face-Off
Initially when I opened this book to read it I was expecting the story to be full of fashion diva's, but I was pleasantly surprised. The story is about so much more, its all about friendship, loyalty, family, winning at all costs and the very talented Mickey.
Agatha Parrot and the Thirteenth Chicken
When you open a book and before you even get to the first chapter you read a statement that says "No chickens were hurt during the course of writing this book, because chickens are good and we LIKE chickens" you know the book is going to be a little bit quirky and a lot of funny.
Building Faith Block by Block
What I love about this book is that the authors have brought together a super popular game and paired it so cleverly with the word of God and applying practical lessons into real life. With this book tweens and teens will gain knowledge of the game as well as thinking about lessons learnt from the game in a biblical perspective.
Jake Atlas and the Tomb of the Emerald Snake
When I first started reading this book, I immediately thought Indiana Jones with a modern day twist. This fast paced adventure will engage your readers from ages 9 and above.
