It is a book to play games in, decorate, draw, use your imagination, connect the dots and count together; creating memories and looking back over the year and seeing how much you have changed together.
I love my mum because ‘she knows which colour I am on the inside.’ This interactive book is fun and heartwarming, encouraging your child to be creative and to share special time with their mamma.
Shelly Unwin has again delighted the reader with her ability to bring books alive, creating an atmosphere of fun and waggishness. There’s a Baddie Running Through This Book is her best yet and I am not only excited about this book but for what she will delight us with in the future.
This book is like DisneyLand, as your make your way through it there are surprises on every page, discoveries to be made and clues to follow. When this book arrived on my doorstep I literally said “WOW”, I knew in an instant that this would be a most treasured and loved book.
DK continually make books that are both educational and fun for children that encourage conversation, thinking and reading; a well rounded literacy experience. This book, Spot the Difference: Building Site is fun and interactive, giving the reader some fun difference spotting activities on each page.
I was very excited to attend the book launch – or as the wonderful host said to the children – the book birthday of I Just Ate My Friend. I love being able to support Australian authors, whether it by purchasing their books or in this case attending my first book launch. The first thing I did was purchase myself the book and the staff asked if I would like it signed…Yes Please! I was delighted to have a quick chat with the author Heidi McKinnon, who is incredibly humble, lovely to speak to and will delight us with another book in the future…although she is not sure what it will be about yet.
Andy Lee is not someone you think of as an author of a children’s book, well I don’t anyway, I usually associate him adult humour. Andy is quite adamant that the pages shouldn’t be turned….but it is just too tempting of course and well read on to find out more…
“We are all different , as different as can be…But now look closer” and just like that I was engaged from start to finish, the author had captured my attention and imagination from the first page.
