Wipe-Clean First Phonics

As I have mentioned before I am not normally one to suggest formal learning before school, learning for preschoolers should be done in a way that is and feels like play rather than learning. However, when Hachette Australia sent me this First Phonics book I thought it would be a wonderful resource for the 3 year old and above age group, particularly if they are going to 3 year old Kinder.

Throwback Thursday – My Bible Story Picture Book

It wasn't until I been until I have been going through these books that I truly realised just how much my aunt supported my love of reading and literacy. From such a young age I was blessed by all the adults around me to be gifted so many books.

A little Story Time Goodness

The art activity is such a big part of the literacy experience. It shouldn't be just an add on at the end of a story time. I find it most successful when there is lots of discussion while creating and then the stories the children share with me about their creation.
